Katherine Jackson appeared in a television interview Today Show Wednesday. Michael Jackson's mother spoke with NBC's Matt Lauer about Michael's children are grown now, the allegations that his son was a child molester (a claim she calls "the biggest lie ever told ..."), and the upcoming murder trial against Dr. Conrad Murray.
On 2 May, a Los Angeles judge has delayed the murder trial of Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray, just one week before and about to start. The Murray lawyers filed a formal request to postpone the case on Friday in an attempt to have more time and fight the prosecution team. The Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor granted the defense delayed the trial a second time, citing the "need for fundamental fairness."
Ms. Jackson, however, believes that Murray should have more than four years if convicted of manslaughter in the death of Michael.
The trial, originally scheduled to begin in March, is set to start in September.
Murray has pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in connection with Jackson's death from an overdose of propofol in June 2009.
